Hepatitis is more infectious than HIV and you could be at risk and not even know it. The awareness for this disease is extremely low and although treatments and vaccines are available, because people are unaware that they are infected they do nothing and unfortunately this can lead to cirrhosis of the liver and you can die.

This serious disease is overlooked by many people because they are unaware of the risks. The World Hepatitis Alliance is planning their fourth World Hepatitis Day on the 19th of May and their message will be simply: Get tested!

They will be promoting education and awareness for the disease and hopefully making an impact on the increasingly scary statistics.
